RDA Projects
Over the years, the RDA has participated in hundreds of
projects, from small business renovation loans to large-scale
commercial infrastructure projects. The RDA is best known for
it's creation of and ongoing dedication to the
Gallivan Utah
Center, often referred to as the "living
room of downtown." Other highly significant projects include the
RDA's involvement in the development of the Energy Solutions
Arena, formerly the Delta Center, and the Salt Palace
Extensions.
The RDA is well known for its public art projects, significant
infrastructure contributions, and its support of increasing the
variety of housing stock in the city. Over the past 40 years,
the RDA has participated the renovation and revitalization of

Sugar House Streetcar Receives $26 Million in Federal Funding
Grand Opening of Rio Grand Single Room Occupancy Hotel
On Monday, March 8, 2010 the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake
City, announced the grand opening of the recently refurbished
Rio Grande Hotel, located at 428 West 300 South. The Rio Grande
Hotel is a 49 unit, Single Room Occupancy Hotel that offers
weekly and monthly rates of $80 week or $300 month.
The Hotel will be privately operated by HomeInn Rio Grande
Management. The hotel’s amenities include free laundry, a common
kitchen, common computers and a library. For information on room
