North Temple Project Area   Project Area Overview The North Temple Project Area (NT) was established in October 2011, with the goal of revitalizing the North Temple corridor and maximizing transit-oriented redevelopment opportunities. Currently, Salt Lake City and the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) are in the process of constructing a light rail line between the downtown core area and the Salt Lake City International Airport. The light rail line will run through the NT Project Area along North Temple Street. This new transit investment provides an opportunity to revitalize the NT Project Area neighborhood into a vibrant, walkable, mixed-use community.   In 2010, Salt Lake City created the North Temple Boulevard Plan to guide land use decisions that would maximize transit investments for the community. The Plan provides urban renewal standards that focus on transit-oriented development, walkability, housing, density, sustainability and safety. Shaped after the Boulevard Plan, the NT Project Area Plan will help to revitalize and improve the North Temple corridor by encouraging transit-oriented development, increasing density and housing options, and creating long term economic stability in the area. One specific goal identified in the NT Project Area Plan is to redevelop the Folsom Corridor between 800 West and 1000 West, which will incorporate the daylighting of the flow of the City Creek Corridor. The development will include a pedestrian and bicycle pathway that will connect to the Jordan River.
