RDA Housing Projects   Housing Overview Per State law, an RDA may contribute up to 20% of its tax increment from each project area to fund affordable housing projects throughout the city. Each year, the RDA budgets funds for two purposes: City-Wide housing projects (outside of project areas) and Project Area housing (within project areas). In the past, the RDA has expended much of its City-Wide funds through Salt Lake City's Housing Trust Fund in an effort to create more affordable housing for Salt Lake City residents. Below is a list of housing projects funded by the RDA. The projects are divided into three groups: housing projects located within an RDA project area, funded by the RDA's Project Area housing fund; housing projects located outside of RDA project areas, funded by the RDA's City-Wide housing fund; and housing projects managed by the City through its Housing Trust Fund that used funds allocated from the RDA's City-Wide Housing Fund. 2010-2011 RDA Housing Goals
