Depot District

The Depot District Redevelopment Project Area was created on October 15, 1998 and will sunset in 2022. It includes approximately 170 acres of privately owned land, excluding streets. Within the 170 acre area, the Agency has selected approximately 96 acres which is the Tax Increment Collection Area. click here

The Agency may spend tax increment generated within the Collection Area throughout the entire 170 acre area. The Redevelopment Plan outlines techniques which the Agency plans to use in order to achieve the ultimate goal of eliminating blight within the Depot District. The activities which the Agency indicated that it may undertake included environmental assessment and remediation; rehabilitation of property; historic preservation; new construction; development of public infrastructure, public facilities, and public amenities; encouraging the development of housing; acquisition of real property; acquisition of personal property; property management; property disposition and development; and cooperation with the City and other public bodies.
